Introducing Our New Chef - Chef Andres Prussing

Chef Andres Prussing’s culinary passion developed at a young age in Santiago, Chile, where he spent weekends learning to cook his grandmother’s recipes.

The memories Chef Prussing built throughout his childhood, inspired him to want to share his love for food and create those same unique experiences for others.

Chef Prussing attended culinary school at INACAP in Santiago and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and Administration in 2008. Early in his career, Chef won his first two medals – Silver (2006) and Gold (2007) Medals at the Pan-American Culinary Olympics, held an internship at El Cingle, a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant in Barcelona, Spain and worked as an Assistant Corporate Chef for NESTLE Chile. He also  created his own catering company, Bienenstich.

After moving to Miami, Florida in 2012, Chef worked as restaurant chef at Whitney’s restaurant at the Marriott Miami Dadeland, he quickly made his presence known in the Miami food scene.

In 2013, Chef found himself in Charlotte, N.C returning to the competition stage and were he won several medals in ACF competitions and would later go on to join Charlotte Marriott Center City.

As Chef Prussing is excited to use his collective experiences from around the world to fuel his inspiration for diverse and exciting dishes. 

Influenced by his South American culture, Chef Prussing is eager to work with local vendors, bringing in fresh, high-quality ingredients from across North Carolina to produce a menu that will continue to transform the Queen City’s food scene.
